SMA My Way Champions
Spinal muscular atrophy (SMA) is a rare, genetic disorder that affects approximately 1 in 10,000 babies born worldwide each year. It primarily impacts the motor neurons, leading to muscle weakness and atrophy. While SMA affects physical abilities, it doesn't define a person. Many individuals with SMA lead fulfilling lives, pursuing education, careers, and personal passions.
Introducing the SMA My Way Champions
At the heart of SMA My Way is our Champions.
Martyn, Louise, Pia and Karli are individuals who either live with, or care for someone who has SMA. Together, they share their stories, challenges, and triumphs, demonstrating that people with SMA can achieve their goals and live life on their own terms.
